The Hot Rod Barn has exciting career opportunities. As Chicagoland’s premier restoration and performance shop, we are housed in a state-of-the-art facility designed to foster your finest craftsmanship.

  • Sheet Metal Fabricator

    Seeking highly talented and experienced full-time sheet metal fabricators to join the team at The Hot Rod Barn. A background in MIG and TIG welding, along with sheet metal shaping, forming, and fabrication, is essential. Requires experience and a passion for building high-end hot rods, classic cars or trucks, muscle cars, or race cars. Needs to work effectively within a team and exhibit unquestionable integrity. Must have own tools.

  • Body / Paint Tech

    The Hot Rod Barn is always looking for highly talented and experienced full-time body and paint technicians to join the team at The Hot Rod Barn. Requires experience with complete disassembly and inventory, body panel restoration and alignment, filler work, block sanding, priming, painting, wet sanding, and buffing on show quality restorations is a must. We’re not looking for just a general body shop worker – we’re looking for someone that can make these cars laser straight. Imperative to have a passion for building high-end hot rods, classic cars or trucks, muscle cars, or race cars. Must work effectively within a team and exhibit unquestionable integrity. Required to use own tools. Additionally, an ASE certification is preferred. 

  • Hot Rod Mechanic

    Looking for a highly talented and experienced full-time mechanic to join the team at The Hot Rod Barn. Experience with drivetrain and suspension repair and swaps, engine tuning on carbureted and fuel injection systems, power adder installation and tuning, and electrical diagnostics. Thorough knowledge and experience with LS motors is a plus. It is necessary to have experience and a passion for building high-end hot rods, classic cars or trucks, muscle cars, or race cars. Must work effectively within a team and exhibit unquestionable integrity. Own tools needed. ASE certification a plus.
