1972 LS Swapped Restomod Chevelle

Chevelle LS Swap Restomod Inside parts view

This 1972 LS Swapped Restomod Chevelle received a significant transformation while at The Hot Rod Barn. This muscle car is just one of the many high end LS Engine Swaps we performed. The end result was a vehicle that received coverage by Motor Trend magazine and appearance in Wilwood’s advertising.

This A-Body arrived with an older LS engine and dated interior, all of which was removed to make way for a significant overhaul. After removing the old drivetrain, we smoothed and painted the firewall. The firewall received primer, bodywork, polyester, sealer, and a color-matched base coat / clear coat finish. Once the old drivetrain was removed, we then installed a new 1,200HP LS engine from Borowski Race Engines featuring a DART LS Next aluminum block. A custom built automatic transmission was mated to the DART block, along with a Moser Engineering 12 bolt rearend. Large Wilwood disc brakes, a BeCool radiator, Ricks stainless fuel tank, Holley EFI ECM, complete Painless chassis wiring harness, Magnaflow mufflers, and 3″ stainless exhaust were also installed. Also, we integrated Hotchkis front and rear suspension to improve handling.

The interior was replaced with custom leather by Vos Upholstery. A custom dash was also installed along with custom gauges. This wicked 1972 LS Swapped Restomod Chevelle has a great combination of modern refinement and big power.

Here is another one of our LS Swaps.
